Washington State Department of Labor and Industries
L&I is a state agency dedicated to the safety, health and security of Washington's nearly two million workers. We help employers meet safety and health standards and we inspect workplaces when alerted to hazards. We operate the state's workers' compensation system, providing medical and limited wage-replacement coverage to workers who suffer job-related injuries and illness. Our rules and enforcement programs also help ensure that workers are paid what they are owed and that children's and teens' work hours are limited. Columbia Legal Services
Columbia Legal Services (CLS) works with poor and vulnerable clients to improve the conditions of their lives. CLS has offices in Seattle, Olympia, Wenatchee, Yakima and Kennewick.
Northwest Justice Project
The Northwest Justice Project (NJP) is a not-for-profit organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income people from 10 offices and two satellite locations throughout the state of Washington. Each year, NJP assists more than 18,000 people in need of critical legal assistance. Clients who need interpreter services in order to access legal services through NJP are entitled to those services.

Washington LawHelp is a guide to free civil legal services for low-income people and seniors in Washington. This site provides legal education materials and tools that give you basic information on a number of legal problems and, in some cases, detailed instructions and forms to help you represent yourself in court. You can also locate information on free legal aid programs in Washington, including basic eligibility and contact information.

Washington State Commission on Hispanic Affairs
The Washington State Commission on Hispanic Affairs (CHA) was created by a Governor's executive order and established in law in 1971. As mandated by the state legislature, the commission's functions are to improve public policy development and the delivery of government services to the Hispanic community by:
- Identifying and defining issues concerning the rights and needs of Washington State's Hispanic Community.
- Advising the Governor and state agencies on the development of relevant policies, plans and programs that affect Hispanics.
- Advising the legislature on issues of concern to the state's Hispanic community.
- Establishing relationships with state agencies, local governments, and members of the private sector.
Unemployment Insurance Benefits
Unemployment insurance is intended to provide partial income replacement for those who become unemployed through no fault of their own. These benefits are a temporary source of income while the unemployed individual is seeking work or, in authorized cases, attending training.
