We are seeking applications, on an ongoing basis, for Computer Science (Transfer) adjunct instructors and substitutes at Renton Technical College (RTC). The Dean of General Education reviews applications as needed to fill openings during the 2023 academic year.
 
RTC offers two five-credit classes in this area, to support students who intend to transfer to a bachelor’s program in computer science program:

• Java programming I (CS& 141)
• Java programming II (CS 142)

 
We currently use no-cost, open educational resource (OER) curricula for both classes, which enroll an incredibly diverse group of students. Our computer science sections have been scheduled online recently, but we are particularly interested in candidates who are available for synchronous video lectures and/or in-person instruction. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as needs arise within each department. Deans will evaluate applications periodically and contact candidates as adjunct positions become available. Note that applications may be reviewed at any time while this posting remains active.
