21st Century SHARP Kids 2022 Summer Program Leaders (2)

Title of Position: 21st CCLC Summer Staff
Duration of Position: Summer Employment Contract Renewed Yearly
Supervisor’s Title: 21st CCLC Site Coordinators
Positions Supervised: None
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
FTE: PT (June 24-July 25, 20 days, 6 hours/day)
Pay Range: $20-21/hour

Purpose of Position: To make a difference, provide support, and have fun with the fantastic kids in our community! You will go on fun field trips, facilitate engaging recreational activities, lead clubs, contribute to our vision, and lead engaging after-school clubs. Yeah, we aren’t going to lie, it’s a pretty sweet gig.

Program Operation Hours:
All team prep and training meetings (dates and times TBA)
8AM – 2PM, Monday – Thursday
2 Friday all day field trips 8AM – 5:30PM

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related fields or experience working with youth, parents, school personnel and/or provider agencies.

Experience: One or more years experience in the classroom or out-of-school time setting working with children.

License: Must pass a valid Washington State background check, updated 1st Aid/CPR Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Enthusiasm and works well with children
Experience with or willingness to learn about areas related to the program theme
Able to facilitate social-emotional learning and recreational activities
Demonstrated willingness to work with others
Equipped with effective classroom management skills
Able to develop mentoring and tutoring opportunities for older students
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Produce age appropriate and culturally relevant lesson plans
Demonstrates knowledge of and skill with computer programs such as word processing, databases, email and PowerPoint
Performance Expectations:
Comply with SHARP Kids and school district policies
Attend all team planning meetings, trainings, observations, evaluations and SHARP related family events
Work with 21st CCLC staff and community partners to design and facilitate summer literacy program and enrichment activities, for students and their families, that are educational, recreational, and aligned with the program theme.
Complete goals, objectives, lesson plans and end of the summer report
Secure data used to complete CCLC reports including records of attendance, YPQA Evaluations, parent and student surveys, phone records, and discipline records
