Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children and families? We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Development Specialist to join our team and deliver comprehensive child development services to families enrolled in our Early Head Start program. As an integral part of our team, you will provide a range of supportive services, conduct child development screenings, and collaborate with families to create individualized school readiness plans for children.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement home-based learning experiences tailored to each child's developmental needs.
Conduct weekly 90-minute home visits, fostering positive relationships with children and families.
Administer developmental screenings and assessments, coordinating with healthcare professionals as needed.
Develop individualized school readiness plans in collaboration with families.
Provide family support, advocacy, and referrals to community resources.
Maintain accurate documentation of services to meet program standards.
Offer mentorship and support to team members.
Essential Functions:

Home Visiting: Develop and implement a schedule of home visits and activities to meet program standards. Foster positive caregiver-child interactions and support families in providing developmentally appropriate experiences.
Developmental Screening and Assessment: Conduct screenings and assessments, maintain documentation, and refer to early intervention services when necessary.
Individualized School Readiness Plans (ISRP): Collaborate with families to develop tailored plans for each child's educational journey.
Family Support and Parent Involvement: Identify family strengths and needs, provide referrals and support services, and engage families in program activities.
Community Resource and Referral: Stay informed about community resources and assist families in accessing services.
Transition Services: Support smooth transitions for children and families entering and exiting the program.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with program standards.
Staff Training: Participate in training sessions and provide support to new staff members and volunteers.
Requirements:

At least one year of experience in home visiting or early learning programs.
Access to a personal vehicle with insurance coverage and a valid driver's license.
CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
Completion of required background checks and training.
Preferred Qualifications:

Home Visitor CDA credential or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
Bilingual proficiency in English and [Preferred Language].
Current Parents as Teachers certification.
Salary Range and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $22.54 - $30.67 per hour, with competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401k plan, vacation leave, sick leave, paid holidays, and employee assistance programs.

Work Environment:

This role involves a combination of home visits, office work, and travel. Remote work options are available based on business needs.
