Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Chief Software Architect to join a classified federal program in Kent, WA. This position requires 100% onsite work. This position will be responsible for developing and deploying innovative, experimental, satellite software products to achieve unprecedented missions.

MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE

Responsibilities of the Chief Software Architect:

• Develop sophisticated software architecture for unique, first-in-type satellite systems
• Lead development and documentation of satellite-wide software requirements and software interfaces for open-ended mission profiles
• Define Software Development and Verification Plans in order to deliver high-assurance, certified flight software
• Ensure compliance with all Software Quality, Product Security, and Enterprise Design Practices throughout the software lifecycle
• Resolve software interactions between satellite bus, power and thermal systems, communications and encryption, command and data handling, guidance and navigation, on-board autonomy, ground control, mission operations, and systems duplications
• Lead business partners through integration of developmental software products into RSC satellite architectures

Qualifications for the Chief Software Architect:

• 10+ years of experience in developing architecture and embedded real-time software
• Experience with C++
• Experience working with real time operating systems (RTOS)
• Experience with configuration management and collaboration tools such as (or similar to) Git, JIRA, Collaborator, Beyond Compare, and VersionOne
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Compensation for the Chief Software Architect:

• Salary Range: $175,000 - $250,000 **depending on experiences & non-negotiable above this range**
