SUMMARY


Assists with the quality control program to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally and/or by cooperating with other company Team Members.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(These duties are not limited, there may be additional responsibilities added.)


  1. Analyzes raw materials and finished products. Compares results with product specifications and the quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.

  1. Observes total operation to audit compliance with procedures to produce top quality product and service.

  1. Personally, as well as assisting technicians and other personnel, inspects products throughout the actual processing, packaging and shipping.

  1. Suggests improvements to quality procedures as needed. Assists with changes as they are implemented.

  1. Maintains records and reports of adjustments and/or changes regarding quality and/or sanitation issues and procedures.

  1. Assist with the achievement of quality control objectives. Cooperate with all Team Members to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.

  1. Performs inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products.

  1. Supports company policies and procedures, quality, sanitation and safety requirements.

  1. Investigates customer complaints regarding quality. Maintains records regarding complaints and resolutions.

  1. Suggests changes to ensure customers are receiving top quality product.

  1. Assists with facility audits for GMP and Sanitation Compliance.

  1. Prepare and maintain records and documentation.

There are no Supervisory Responsibilities for this position.



QUALIFICATIONS


  • Education

  1. High School Education or equivalent

  • Essential Skills

  1. Must be able to perform each "essential duty and responsibility" satisfactorily.
  2. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general company policies and department procedures.
  3. Must be able to read and understand weights and measures to ensure accurate lab tests.
  4. Ability to understand production, quality and safety reports
  5. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and production staff.
  6. Read and follow instructions accurately to ensure efficiency and quality of finished product.
  7. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of people.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  1. Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl, talk and hear, occasionally sit, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have excellent color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


  1. Team Member will be exposed to manufacturing environment.
  2. Noise levels usually require hearing protection.
  3. Occasionally working in various temperatures, i.e. around an oven and packaging equipment.
  4. Works with various chemicals. Some chemicals may be hazardous when handled improperly.
