Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing month-end and year-end processes, preparing financials and communicating financial position to leadership and others, overseeing all intercompany transactions, and working with external service providers for accounting and business activities.  The Controller will also provide direction and manage the accounting team and remote store controllers.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA licensure, along with a minimum of 10 years of accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with month-end and year-end closing processes and the ability to prepare financials statements within 5 days of closing (month end).  Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain financial data to owners, managers and external CPAs and other business professionals is crucial.  Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is required. Experience in the automobile industry or other business with multiple locations is essential.
