Overview:
The Developer Intern will serve as an entry-level developer in a sanctioned internship, participating in and learning how to create technical requirements, design deliverables concerning customer requirements, and create programming logic and code based on these requirements. The incumbent must ensure a focused customer service culture throughout their team and the entire department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain programming logic and code, documentation, and perform testing on new and updated modules and systems based on Champion International Moving IT standards.
- Take direction from and consult with the lead developer regularly on technical issues.
- Work with developers, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, and procedures, using formal Project Management and Life Cycle Management procedures.
- Participate in code reviews of ongoing and existing system modules.
- Participate in overall System Analysis pertaining to how new and updated modules will interact with existing systems.
- Participate in the evaluation of new tools and methodologies as indicated.
- Participates in business process changes to take advantage of new system capabilities and improve productivity.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED. Actively enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, 0-1 year of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of both education and experience are required. Language Skills, Computer Skills, Decision Making, and Reasoning Abilities are necessary.
