PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for the development and execution of the production planning, fruit utilization, and inventory capacity for their assigned plants/inventory areas while considering current inventory, obsolescence's, lead times, product life cycles and production capacity. Position establishes and maintains short term production, fruit utilization forecasts, and inventory analysis and recommendations. In addition, position works as a liaison between field, sales, and the plants for development and execution of plants to support Tree Top business needs.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to the Master Scheduler and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with Finance, Fruit Procurement, Tree Top Facilities, QA, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Traffic, Purchasing, Contract Manufacturing, Copack Facilities, Custom Pack Customers and Software Consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Strong understanding and working knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP)
• Principles and practices of production planning and inventory control.
• Principles and practices of effective business communication; basic report writing methods and techniques; correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Mathematics and general accounting.
• Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

ABILITY TO:

• Exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding demand and inventory planning responsibilities to meet business needs.
• Effectively organize, plan, and execute.
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate correspondence, documents, reports, and other written materials.
• Effectively organize, plan, and execute.
• Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions.
• Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Meet behaviors established in Tree Top's performance management and development process.
• Multitask - managing several tasks at the same time.
• Communicate with multiple group levels within and outside of Tree Top in a professional manner.

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field is preferred, or additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of one year of supply chain, production planning, inventory experience.
