Join Our Ambulatory Surgical Care (ASC) Practice

Our growing ASC service line is part of the strategy team and works with providers across the country in all major aspects of the surgery business, including health system surgery site-of-service assessments, ASC strategic planning, surgery operations, ASC development, due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, managed care contract negotiations, and ASC feasibility studies, as well as the design of strategies that drive alignment and unity while being sustainable, scalable, and adaptable. Our detailed plans incorporate qualitative findings with data-driven strategic, operational, reimbursement, and financial considerations that enable organizations to pursue realistic change. Our consultants bridge the gap between strategic thinking and operational implementation with sensible action plans and tactical recommendations. As a senior analyst at ECG, you’ll be an important part of our consulting team. Your Responsibilities May Include:

  • Conducting research and gathering data from national surveys, proprietary research, client interviews, industries, markets, etc.
  • Building flexible, dynamic financial models to forecast trends, preparing scenarios for strategic planning, and/or allocating corporate resources.
  • Enhancing existing models and capabilities built using SQL.
  • Performing complex analyses on big data, including data cleaning, preparing, and interpreting.
  • Building contract models.
  • Analyzing contracts identifying variances and pricing discrepancies. 
  • Reviewing and compiling financial statements for analyzing historical trends.
  • Assisting with report preparation documenting analyses.
  • Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with team members and client personnel.

Our Expectations of You

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related degree that relies heavily on critical thinking, logic, and math
  • Three to five years of experience working in healthcare and with SQL
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the overall modeling process
  • Work experience and/or high-impact internships
  • High-quality analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and fully self-manage work time and the overall project timeline
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required

Job Locations

San Diego or Seattle. Able to work a hybrid schedule with days in office and remote.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $90,000 - $103,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG’s pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG’s benefit plans, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, and other wellness programs.
