Research Scientist III
Location: Seattle, WA- Fully onsite
Duration: 10 months

Daily Schedule: Day shift, flexibility
Number and Type of Interviews: Phone screen initially/Panel Interview, 2-3 interviews usually virtual interviews

Job Description:
Execute existing laboratory workflows from planning to data analysis stage.
Recognize, document, and escalate protocol deviations to stakeholders
Ensure equipment and instruments remain in good operating condition, recognize any malfunctions and troubleshoot as needed
Maintain updated understanding and knowledge of methods performed in the lab
Provide feedback on the workflows and participate in developing solutions to pinch points, throughput limitations, and data quality
Work with a team of researchers to extend and interpret advanced analytical methodologies.
Facilitate interactions with collaborators, both internal and external, to develop efficiencies for cutting edge analytical methods.
Adapt to unexpected schedule changes and respond to emergency situations, as needed Basic qualifications
Hands-on expertise with cutting edge molecular biology, microbiology and/or biochemistry methods and concepts.
Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies that are commonly used in modern laboratory data analysis.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully within an entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent organizational skills, with great attention to detail and record keeping.
Strong verbal and written communication skill
Knowledge of safety procedures relating to operation of laboratory equipment and handling of chemical and biohazards Preferred qualifications
PhD degree within life sciences (e.g. Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology and Microbiology) and 5-7 years of directly-related commercial experience
Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams at the interface of life science and computer science.
Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies that are commonly used in modern laboratory data analysis.
Broad familiarity with different areas of the life sciences.
Hands-on experience in high-throughput research, incl. operation of liquid handlers.
