Mechanic Shop Clerk - ADESA Seattle

The Mechanic Shop Clerk performs identified Clerical Duties to support the Mechanic Shop. Daily tasks can include data entry, answering phones, and typical office work. Receives parts, keeps inventory organized, builds parts buckets, and manages parts returns.

Shift: M-F Day Shift (Full Time). Pay is $21-$26/hr DOE.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Set work orders in V-Trace
  • Enter repairs in V-Trace
  • Post charges to vehicle account
  • Verify the correct repair charges are submitted
  • Process Customer Billing
  • Call in part orders and post charges to vehicle account
  • Save and tag warranty parts or cores for return to vendor
  • Documenting of parts, numbers, vendor names on parts purchased outside.
  • Check off each job and return the work order to the Manager if all work has been completed
  • Post PSI's
  • Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to vehicles

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience working with automotive parts.
  • Auction knowledge and experience preferred (not required)
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
