The Property Groundskeeper is a vital role responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of our apartment complex grounds and common areas. The position requires traveling between multiple sites, ensuring all areas are well-kept, clean, and presentable.

Responsibilities:

  • Walk the properties daily, and pick up trash and items that do not belong. Report any issues promptly to property managers.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, storage room, and other areas on the property.
  • Occasionally perform touch-up cleaning in apartment units for make-ready.
  • Perform pressure washing and carpet cleaning duties.
  • Clean out the common laundry rooms and clean the machines when needed.
  • Wash walls, floors, storage rooms, and walkways.
  • Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
  • Replenish communal kitchen/bathroom supplies through purchase orders.
  • Replace light bulbs.
  • Blow leaves and shovel snow as needed.
  • Transport small equipment or tools between sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience performing cleaning or maintenance tasks.
  • Great communication skills, treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions as needed, and responding sensitively to complaints.
  • Ability to handle physical workload.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to operate a pressure washer and carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and can drive a personal car for work. (mileage reimbursed according to IRS national standard)
  • Landscaping/light painting skills are preferred but not required
