Our client, a leading long term care facility, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing to lead their nursing team. The Director of Nursing will oversee the nursing department and ensure the delivery of quality resident care while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards for long term care
  • Manage and oversee nursing staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Develop and manage budgets for the nursing department and ensure financial performance goals are met
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the long term care facility
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain resident confidentiality at all times
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide leadership and direction to nursing staff as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in long term care, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and quality standards for long term care
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
