Required License/Certification:
- Dental Assistant License (Washington State)
- X-ray Certification

Responsibilities:
- Answering patient questions before an appointment and confirm procedures about to perform.
- Preparing patients for dental procedures by making them comfortable and providing any instructions.
- Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment according to regulations, and placing for easy access.
- Preparing the dental exam room for use by the dentist by making sure it is stocked and organized.
- Assisting the dentist during procedures, getting supplies, and using the suction tube to keep the patients’ mouth dry.
- Assisting with dental x-rays.
- Assisting with dental lab work (Pour models, prepare for shipping, and etc.).
- Instructing patients on dental hygiene and proper care of dental fixtures.
- Helping to schedule next appointment with Front Desk.
- Manages patient records (Blood pressure, PreMed, and etc.).
- Give doctor's orders to front desk (Referral, medical clearance, or etc.).
Skills:
- Proven experience as dental assistant.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Well-organized and reliable.
- Attended dental assistant programs.
- Additional certification (e.g. BLS).
