The Department of Social and Health Services, , (CSD) is seeking a Social and Health Program Consultant 2 to join our team.
 
In this role, you will report to the Business and Infrastructure Administrator within CSD Operations and provide statewide program consultation and technical assistance for the Benefit Verification System. You will independently develop, implement, and monitor multiple BVS access DSA’s for State Agencies, interlocal governmental agencies, State Court systems, commerce-related programs, and community-based organizations that require verification of public assistance for community-based programs that clients may be eligible to receive. You will be responsible for ensuring all DSA comply with guidelines established by Federal, State, and private Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firms that conduct audits for community partners. In addition, you’ll provide administrative support for the Limited English Program (LEP). Administrative support will include processing translation requests and reconciling invoices.

 Some of what you will do

  • Work directly with current and prospective BVS Agencies and CSD Contracts Officers to establish BVS DSA’s and user access
  • Plan, develop, and manage all aspects of the BVS intake process to ensure all non-disclosure, intake forms, and contract documents are completed and submitted to the CSD Contract Officer to start execution of the DSA
  • Work with the CSD Contracts Officer to initiate the DSA intake process for approved BVS agencies.
  • Responsible for the ESA contracts risk assessment and development of the BVS monitoring plan
  • Research and use all tools and materials available, such as the Secretary of State Corporation Search Database to verify all potential BVS agencies, and ensure tax information, business licenses, and other business data matches, are accurate, and current.
  • Manage the process for access requests and provides relevant instruction materials and guidelines for BVS users. 
  • Track and monitor data related to access requests and develop reports if requested.

Who should apply

  • A master’s degree or higher in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or related field, and two years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or other public assistance programs.

  • A bachelor’s degree in social work, health or social science, public administration, or related field, and three years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or other public assistance programs
    OR
  • One year of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 1.
  • Note: A degree in social work must be from an educational program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. For selected positions, related experience such as that of a WorkFirst Program Specialist or Public Benefit Specialist 4 
  • Additional professional experience described above will substitute year for year for the required education.
