Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Accounting Oversight:

• Lead and coordinate all financial activities and personnel within the construction projects.
• Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to provide actionable insights for business operations.
• Establish robust controls and budgets to minimize risks and maximize ROI.

Financial Reporting & Management:

• Prepare detailed quarterly and annual budgets, financial statements, special analyses, and reports.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Manage bank covenants and lender reporting with precision.
• Oversee cash balances, billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and construction-specific accounting processes.
• Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient audit processes.

Operational Control & Compliance:

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial policies and internal control safeguards.
• Ensure strict compliance with GAAP and federal/state regulations.
• Streamline finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures for optimal efficiency.
• Respond promptly to audit requests from external auditors or government agencies.

Strategic Planning & Project Support:

• Support the development and execution of strategic business and operational plans.
• Prepare draw requests and manage disbursements and expenditures effectively.
• Evaluate potential investment opportunities and operational improvements through advanced financial modeling.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• BS/BA/MBA in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required).

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction accounting management.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and automated financial systems.
• Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
