Cloud Architect

Relevant Experience:
- Overall 12+ yrs. of exp. & minimum 5 yrs. exp. as a Cloud Architect
- Must demonstrate expert knowledge in private, public & hybrid Cloud Architecture, Networking (Security, Load Balancing, Network routing protocols, etc. ….), Workload types, Migration patterns & tools, software as a service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)
- Must have deep understanding of Cloud Design Patterns, Cloud Operations & Cloud Cost Models with hands-on ability to implement best practices & suggest improvements
- Must have proven experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure & Google Cloud Platform configuration & administration of security features & services (including & not limited to Identity & Access Management, service-related security features, firewalls, encryption & related best practices)
- Extensive hands-on experience architecting using Apache Kafka for streaming real-time events & internals of how it works, along with interplay of architectural components: brokers, Zookeeper, producers/consumers, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams
Technical/Functional Skills: - Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Understands & can articulate the technical merits &value of Cloud Computing to Enterprise Architects & Leadership teams
- Comprehensive & broad set of security technologies & processes (secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity &access management (IAM), network security), runtime defense/anti-malware & vulnerability management within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS & other cloud environments
- Working knowledge of common & industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc…)
- Experience with deployment orchestration, automation & security configuration management (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc…)
- Experience with API/MicroServices Architecture for cloud-based services
- Experience working with cloud security & governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs) &server virtualization technologies
- Experience performing Fit For Use (FFU), Threat Modeling & design reviews to assess security implications & requirements for introduction of new technologies
- Experience with how to scale Kafka, KStreams & Connector framework (HTTP REST proxy, JMS, File, SFTP, JDBC, Splunk, Salesforce & how to support wire-format translations)
- Experience using the Kafka API to build producer & consumer applications, along with expertise in implementing KStreams pipelines as well as deployed KStreams clusters
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Architect & Design customer's Cloud Environments with a focus on Azure & AWS &demonstrate Technical Cloud Architectural knowledge, Cloud Security & compliance knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of Cloud Infrastructures running in 24x7 environments
- Recommend Cloud Strategies, aligned with customer's business objectives & with a focus on transforming applications to Cloud
- Provide architectural recommendations to customer about migrating TeraData (or any Data warehouse) & applications to Cloud environment
- Provide leadership in migration methodologies &techniques including mass application movements into the cloud, including implementation of Azure or AWS within in large regulated enterprise environments
- Be an evangelist to further bring Security, DevOps, &SecOps together (DevSecOps)
