The Head Cook position will be responsible for planning, supervising, participating in the preparation of the Elementary/MS Lunch Program and will perform all duties of the position within the scope of Kiona-Benton City School District policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess High School Diploma or GED.
2. Possess a Food Handlers Permit.
3. Experience in food services and serving large groups preferred.
4. Bilingual/Biliterate preferred, but not required.
5. Be in good physical condition (with no history of back problems, etc.).
6. Be able to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis.
7. Must be pleasant, cooperative, and flexible and handle change in routine calmly and effectively.
8. Place food and supply orders.
9. Manage kitchen staff.
10. Demonstrated ability to work well with children.
11. Demonstrated ability to work with students and staff in a team environment.
12. Be firm and consistent when managing students.
13. Be punctual and meet deadlines.
14. Other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC DETAILS
Monday-Friday for eight (8) hours per day - 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
