ANR Group Inc is accepting resumes for an Electrical Safety-Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Instructors for an assignment on the Hanford Site. This position will average 15-30 hours per week (this is not a guaranteed number of hours).

ELECTRICAL SAFETY:
The Electrical Safety Instructor will deliver training on the necessary skills to properly use and control electrical energy, understand electrical hazards, and implement hazard controls. This individual will utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to meet the requirements of DOE-0359, Hanford Site Electrical Safety Program (HSESP).
HAZARDOUS ENERGY CONTROL (LOCKOUT/TAGOUT):
The Lockout/Tagout trainer will instruct and evaluate workers on the necessary skills to properly control the unexpected release of hazardous energy or materials. This individual will utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to meet the requirements of DOE-0336, Hanford Site Lockout/Tagout, including one-on-one practical evaluations.
The individual should be skilled and experienced to provide instructor support in both training program areas listed above.
INSTRUCTOR EXPECTATIONS:
- Attain proficiency in each course prior to teaching the class unsupervised. This will entail studying the course(s) material, discussion of the course material with current instructor to ensure adequate knowledge of the material, observing the class, and conducting the class under the supervision of a current instructor.
- Provide training in accordance with, and without deviation from, approved current course lesson plans. Deviation from approved course lesson plans is not allowed without prior approval from the client.
- Adhere to and require that all students abide by the approved Health and Safety Plan for each course.
- Conduct all HAMMER Training related work in accordance with approved client/HAMMER procedures and policies.
- Arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the course being taught to:
- ensure that the classroom, equipment and course documents are in order for class
- greet students and ensure they are properly signed into class.
- Spend the time after class ends to ensure that all course materials/rosters have been checked for accuracy and delivered to HAMMER Training Logistics.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a Washington State Electrician license.
- Experience working at a Government Owned Facility, i.e., Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with complex Lockout/Tagout procedures (NFPA 70E 120.2D(3)) (multiple sources of energy, crafts, work locations, shifts). Refer to NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace®.
- Experience teaching Lockout/Tagout courses at a Government Owned Facility, i.e., Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD).
- Experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Inspector, or Journeyman Electrician with varied types of work performed (i.e., industrial wiring, demolition, brownfield setup)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Be approved by Washington State Labor & Industries to teach courses that give license continuing education units (CEUs)
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NFPA-70)
- Working knowledge of the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA70E) Previous experience in instructing Lockout/Tagout courses at the Hanford Site
- Experience in Operations or Maintenance at a Nuclear Facility
- Previous technical instructor experience
- Previous experience performing this specific training or be approved to participate in on-the-job training by the HAMMER individual identified by the BTR
- Experience on the Hanford site will improve the ability of the individual(s) to complete the necessary activities
- Experience presenting to large groups
- Basic use of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong presentation skills
