The Opportunity:
Under direct supervision of Dining Services Management, perform duties and instruct/lead student employees and non-permanent employees in the dish room, pots and pans room and other related areas of responsibilities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in responsible areas. Provide an adequate supply of clean, sanitary and properly stored dishware, utensils, cookware and other related items to appropriate workstations or storage areas in alignment with operational needs. Cooperate in contributing to a positive and harmonious work environment.

Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary:
$3,643 to $4,299 | Range 37 (Steps F-M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
• Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler's permit AND one year of experience in quantity or institutional food preparation AND serving, which includes six months experience directing the work of others; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Possession of, or eligible to obtain, a Washington food handler's permit within 14 days of employment.
• Must be willing to work a varied work schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Two to five years' food service experience.
• Multi-faceted food experience.
• Experience leading and training employees.
• General knowledge of commercial grade kitchen equipment use, safety, and maintenance.
