We are currently seeking to add a Sr. Natural Resources Project Manager/Sr. Wetland Scientist to our dynamic Natural Resources team in Vancouver, Washington.
$110,000 to $130,000 annually, full-time, with benefits, and flexibility for a hybrid schedule.
As the Sr. Natural Resources Project Manager/Sr. Wetland Scientist, you will act as a senior representative for our clients and staff, overseeing diverse projects and providing leadership for our Vancouver, Washington Natural Resources team. This role reports to PBS’ Natural Resources Principal and works with other Sr. Project Managers, Market Sector Managers, and Client Managers. Projects range from wetland delineations, permitting, mitigation design, wetland planning, natural resource planning, shoreline restoration, NEPA documentation, and ESA compliance. Furthermore, this role will aid in shaping PBS' strategic marketing plan for Natural Resources and play a role in extending our current client base and revenue streams in the upcoming five years.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Biology or related discipline
- 5+ years of Project Manager experience showing growth in responsibilities
- 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) Certification
- Experience developing and implementing successful client-focused marketing plans
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Experience working on a multi-disciplinary project team
- Valid Driver’s License
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Knowledge on the implementation of the regulatory framework associated with regulations, permitting, and compliance
- Experience working on local, state, and federal transportation projects
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Vancouver office’s Natural Resources group
- Mentor and grow the PBS Natural Resources team
- Oversee project scope, develop budgets, manage staff, and implement projects from the initial scoping phase to closure.
- Establish and cultivate the Natural Resources practice within PBS, encompassing clients in transportation, facilities, education, port, and energy sectors.
- Identify and convert new opportunities from PBS's client base into viable business initiatives.
