Job Description
The Controller position will act as the head of the corporate accounting function for Company and its subsidiary organization(s). Responsibilities to include: timely and accurate financial reporting, consistent with GAAP, complete management reporting and analysis, appropriate tax, regulatory and statutory filings, treasury functions, budgeting, planning and re-forecasting, maintaining appropriate internal controls, and coordination with external auditors, Also responsible for driving continuous improvement for all processes through lean principles.
Salary: $190,000 - $235,000 Depending on Experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Financial Reporting & Analysis (50%):
Work with the accounting manager to ensure all appropriate financial, tax, and statutory reporting is completed within deadlines, is complete and accurate, and in compliance with GAAP, including researching issues that may affect the business.
Manage appropriate weekly/monthly/quarterly financial and operations review process for the Company through dashboard reporting, face-to-face meetings with budget managers, and communication with CFO and Executive Team.
Budgeting, Planning and Re-Forecasting (20%):
Coordinate the development and implementation of annual budgeting and process, along with appropriate plan updates (re-forecasts).
Work with key stakeholders to ensure a collaborative process.
Maintaining Internal Controls and Regulatory Compliance (15%):
Develop and maintain appropriate controls to mitigate risk while adhering to current and future external compliance requirements.
Coordination of External Audit and Tax Requirements (5%):
Oversight of annual financial audit as well as manage any separate external audit needs (e.g. banks, federal, state or local) as necessary, acting as the main contact point in such matters.
Treasury Functions (5%):
Oversight of cash and investment accounts of Company, timely and appropriate reporting and forecasting of cash flow needs/use, and AR collections.
Special Projects (10%):
Special projects at the designation of the Chief Financial Officer, including assistance with potential M&A activities, public and/or private placements, etc.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required - Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
MBA highly desirable, CPA preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of accounting experience, preferably with both a "big 4" public accounting firm, as well private, in food service-based distribution industries, with at least $25 MM in revenues and involving rapid growth.
Must have at least 8 years of management experience, at the controller/director level.
Lead key financial teams, Accounts receivable, procurement, assistant controllers and budget process
Lead financial ERP transition.
Proven ability to work across Company divisions.

This position will be performed at Corporate Headquarters in Bellevue, WA
