Express is now hiring for a Commercial Casework Drafter/Engineer at a local company based out of Tumwater, WA. This is a permanent opportunity. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40hrs per week, day shift. Start time is flexible between 4:30AM and 7:00AM. Overtime may be required when needed. The full pay rate range for this position is $20-$39/hr, but the hiring range will start at $20-$28/hr DOE. Job Details: This company is an established custom casework manufacturer specializing in complex projects with frequently fast-track construction schedules. Looking for a highly motivated individual to fill this dual focused position.
Drafting
- Review architectural drawings and draft their shop drawings off of those using AutoCAD and Microvellum, as a full submittal set for the architects to review.
Casework Engineering
- Once submittals come back, create complete production/installation packets to include all materials needed for project.
Typical project types are: dental offices, medical facilities, corporate offices, and some specialty retail projects, with scope involving casework, millwork, solid surface, architectural metals, stone, and more.
Job Requirements:
- AutoCAD, Microvellum and Bluebeam skills are required
- Microsoft Word/Excel skills are required
- Casework Engineering experience highly desired
- Attention to detail, focus and thorough review of work is required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work hard in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with Architectural plans/specifications, LEED, FSC, FGI and AWI guidelines is a plus but not required
- Pass criminal background check and drug screen
