Embark on an exhilarating journey with McKinstry! We're hiring for a Senior Manager, Business Technology Products to champion our ventures in Energy, Technical Services, and Construction. Based out of our Seattle, WA Headquarters, this hybrid position will have the opportunity to shape the future of our Product Management division while mentoring and developing an expanding team.
As the Senior Manager, Business Technology Products, you will help in shaping the strategic direction and execution of our product management initiatives, playing a essential role in driving growth and innovation across our diverse portfolios. Collaborating closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you will have the opportunity to define and prioritize product roadmaps that align with our overarching business objectives and market needs.
Responsibilities for this role include:
Partner with Energy, Technical Services, and Construction LOBs to implement business technology solutions, collaborating with LOB leaders to understand product vision and strategy.
Manage the LOB portfolio product roadmaps, addressing customer pain points by converting them into user stories and prioritizing them effectively.
Support the lifecycle management of the product portfolio, including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance.
Contribute to the development of data-driven and market-informed product plans that align with McKinstry's objectives.
Assist in developing business cases to demonstrate the rationale for continued investment, bridging business goals, user needs, and feasibility.
Coordinate the design, delivery, and management of strategic projects with executive visibility and multiple critical dependencies.
Evaluate product and feature performance against goals, provide improvement recommendations, and help manage the enterprise business backlog.
Contribute to writing Marketing Requirements Documents (MRD) and Product Requirement Documents (PRD) based on business needs and customer demand.
Support LOB innovation by conducting research to aid product development and positioning.
Collaborate with Technology Partners to design solutions, estimate work effort, and deploy resources effectively.
Help the Business identify and implement best practices to measure success, including financial objectives, implementation schedules, and milestones.
Promote cross-team and cross-organizational knowledge sharing through forums such as user groups and design reviews.
Develop strong working relationships with LOBs, technology, and operations organizations to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
Assist in training, mentoring, and managing staff to achieve team goals, and collaborate with recruiting staff to identify and assess potential additional talent.
Stay informed about trends important to our clients and LOBs, exploring and maximizing new solutions to meet evolving needs.
Support McKinstry technology solutions alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in product management or construction software deployment.
Experience in product management and implementation.
Strong project management skills; ability to present work to stakeholders.
Clear and concise communication style.
Experience building product features based on user research and validation.
Experience creating solutions for business processes and customer experience needs.
Familiarity with Building Automation Systems, automated data analytics, IoT, and machine learning technologies is a plus.
Ability to lead and support cross-functional teams.
Experience in talent development.
Ability to support a product team as a servant-leader.
Knowledge of modern software development methodologies, including Agile.
Strong ability to mentor and facilitate.

The pay range for this position is $110,790- $190,700 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
