Position Summary: | The Dietary Cook/Aide is responsible for preparing food in accordance with established menus and recipes, as well as quality and sanitation standards. Oversees the work of other dietary personnel assisting with food service preparation, and if assigned may assume additional responsibilities in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. |
Essential Job Duties: | Prepare all food served in the facility in compliance with approved menu, including those for therapeutic diets that are ordered. Maintain a sanitary, clear, hazard-free work area. Assist in the purchase, storage, and inventory of the food supplies. Assist in receiving and storing warehouse deliveries. Perform or assist with operating dishwashing machine, washing and sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, and utensils, and washing pots, containers, etc. Clean up assigned work areas/equipment. Other duties as assigned. |
