Responsibilities:
- Partner with VR prototype teams to support prototype builds that include electrical and mechanical assembly, electrical component level placement/re-work and supporting bring-up with engineering teams to accelerate early concept development across companies VR hardware organization.
- Ability to do PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) and FPC (flexible printed circuit) rework in electrical lab environment
- Collaborating in a team environment with cross-functional teams such system engineering, architecture, product design, NPI and research.
- Ability to execute multiple streams of work simultaneously and independently balance and prioritize project workload to ensure success against timeline constraints
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages innovative ideas. Team player and detail oriented.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience with building prototypes or bench electrical assembly, bring-up, electro-mechanical integration, and ability to do electrical and mechanical debug
- Experience with soldering. Fine pitched devices, 0201 or 0402 components, BGA/CSP, rework power components
- Support rework, which involves in-house repair or logistics for internal/external customers
- Set up, support, and maintain hardware in a lab environment
- Ability to read and understand schematics and locate components on PCBs using design schematics and layout viewers
- Generate complete assembly/test documentation of prototype assembly/ test setup and share results
Preferred Qualification:
- Systems-level engineering development and test experience with complex integrated electromechanical assemblies
- Hands-on experience with debugging and related equipment (Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Logic Analyzers, etc.)
- Parts programming (FPGA, Flash, etc.) and ability to take scope measurements
Top 3 Must-Have:
- Soldering skills using scope (able to solder 01005 components, IC, 36AWG wire, QFN), debugging, electromechanical assemblies
- Good to have skills: testing, parts programming (FPGA, flash)
Compensation:
The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
