NorthStar Ice Equipment Corporation are looking for a Warehouse Inventory Coordinator to join their team in Seattle, Washington.
About the Job:
A successful candidate will be capable of multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities. They will utilize exemplary communication skills to coordinate shipment of product from our Seattle manufacturing facility to customers and contractors worldwide. Interaction with internal stakeholders will be necessary to navigate inherent daily complexities of the business. Support of parts sales, shipping and receiving, inventory management and sub-contracted material movement is required daily. A successful candidate must be a self-motivated, independently thinking problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
Job Duties:
- Managing inventory and filing systems.
- Performing complete inventory checks of all stock and supplies.
- Assessing and improving flows of supplies through companies.
- Ensuring all documentation related to inventory flows is complete, accurate and transacted correctly.
- Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
- Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
- Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.
- Identifying, analyzing, and addressing gaps in inventory processes.
- Achieves balance by managing task priorities from multiple sources.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance logistical operations.
- Obtains shipping rate quotes, coordinates with sales team, and executes timely delivery on orders.
- Coordinates with Shipping and Parts Sales to fulfill orders with non-stock line items.
- Assists in shipment of orders as required to ensure timely delivery of new equipment and replacement parts to customers.
- Navigate the locally utilized ERP system (Epicor 10) to track material inventory.
- Coordinate with Production Manager regarding material scheduled for sub-contracted operations.
- Assist in execution order kitting process and tasks.
- Expedites existing purchase orders; communicates changes; routine P.O. follow-up.
- Creates and places new purchase orders for routine shop supplies and consumables.
- Assists with weekly visual low inventory review, compiles results, reviews with purchasing and coordinates purchase of required materials.
- Responsible for projects to improve the general organization of inventory, such as establishing minimum/maximum stock levels and re-label inventory boxes and shelf tags.
- Maintains a physical presence in Shipping/Receiving and production areas to observe, assist and identify areas for improvement; analyze tasks to develop more efficient methods and processes.
- Driving to deliver or pick up material and/or components from local businesses.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance logistical operations.
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is must, bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory.
- Experience in Logistics, shipping and receiving and EPICOR ERP systems.
- Valid WA Driver’s license.
- Experience in Forklift and securing loads.
- Expert PC skills. High exposure and ability in MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook.

- Touch typing and knowledge of Epicor/Vista software.
- Ability to multitask and communicate efficiently with direct supervisor and key stakeholders.
Compensations & Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience (65-75K per year)
