As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Human Resources Manager for our facility in Ellensburg, Washington.
What We’re Looking For:
We are currently hiring a full-time Human Resources Manager. As a Human Resources Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment for all employees. Your responsibilities will encompass various HR functions, from recruiting and onboarding to performance management and employee relations.
You will work with plant management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:
- 5 to 10 years of Human Resources experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in human resources management, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
- Washington State Driver’s License Required.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Essential Physical Abilities:
Ability to sit at an office desk with sufficient vision and physical dexterity to use PC desk top system for up to eight hours.
Ability to use standard functions of office equipment (PC, calculator, fax, printer, scanner, copier, smart phone, etc.).
Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds for use in day-to-day job functions.
Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permit the employee to have access to various work sites throughout the facilities.
Ability to travel to other TCF company locations for training or meetings. May require overnight stay on rare occasions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Develop recruiting strategies to attract top talent for various plant positions.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees on HR-related matters.
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
- Promote a positive work environment by fostering open communication and resolving conflicts effectively.
Labor Relations:
- Participates in contract negotiations.
- Communicates and collaborates with union business agents on employee issues and grievances.
Performance Management:
- Implement and oversee performance management systems to monitor employee performance and development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees and managers.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate training initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Compliance and Policy Adherence
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, including personnel files, attendance records, and performance evaluations.
- Keep abreast of changes in employment legislation and proactively update policies and procedures as necessary.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Develop and implement initiatives to promote employee engagement, morale, and satisfaction.
- Organize employee recognition programs, team-building activities, and other events to foster a positive work culture.
- Analyze turnover rates and implement strategies to improve employee retention.
Health and Safety:
- Collaborate with plant management to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and provide support for safety training programs.
- Investigate and address safety incidents and implement corrective action as needed.
Other Duties:
- Manage payroll and perform all associated tasks.
