You Are:
UST is looking for a Support Engineer with experience in Azure Cloud Operations
The Opportunity:
Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of Azure services, including VMs, App Services, Networking, Storage, and AAD.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex Azure-specific incidents within defined SLAs, leveraging your deep understanding of the platform.
Ticket Incident Management:
Owning incident ownership from initial response time to resolution, leveraging internal ticketing systems
Good communication with stakeholders.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams of developers and security to ensure smooth issue resolution.
Escalating critical incidents effectively and following established escalation procedures. *Ongoing Maintenance:
Executing tasks and tickets, including maintenance, patching, updates, and configuration management, to maintain platform stability.
Automating routine tasks using Azure Automation and PowerShell scripting for enhanced efficiency.
Maintaining our Knowledge Base for comprehensive documentation for future reference. *Security & Compliance:
Adhering to strict Azure security best practices and enforce defined security policies and procedures.
Partnering with security teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring continuous improvement of our security posture.
Staying informed of evolving Azure security features and industry compliance regulations. Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement:
Actively contributing to our internal Knowledge Base, documenting solutions and lessons learned from incidents and ongoing tasks.
Sharing expertise through internal knowledge-sharing sessions and collaborating with the team to identify and implement ongoing improvements.
Proactively suggesting new tools and methodologies that enhance our operations and user experience.
What you need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience accumulated over time)
3+ years of experience in cloud operations, specifically with Azure cloud technologies
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure-related issues
Strong understanding of Cloud friendly OS systems administration and scripting languages
Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform Additionally, we consider the following as valuable assets:-
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps
Experience with Azure Cost Management and optimization strategies
Security certifications (e.g., AZ-500)
Cloud automation experience

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below
Role Location: WA
Compensation Range: $46,000 - $70,000
