Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
The laboratory of Dr. Shan Lin () is seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious bench researcher interested in the basic and translational studies of hematological malignancies. Research goals in the lab include applying CRISPR and chemical screens to identify novel genetic targets and tool compounds that can induce the programmed cell death of blood cancer cells and leveraging the knowledge for therapy development. In-depth mechanistic studies will be performed to dissect the critical survival and drug response pathways using integrated molecular and biochemical approaches, patient-derived xenografts (PDXs), and disease modeling methodologies.
Under supervision from senior members, the successful applicants will perform a variety of molecular and cellular biology procedures; learn to analyze and interpret data, and modify experimental procedures to obtain optimal experimental results. They will also learn and assist in the functional screening pipelines. Opportunities will be provided for developing important career skillsets, such as presentation and communication, scientific writing and critical analysis. This position also involves some lab managing responsibilities.
Requirements:
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, or related field.
Minimum one (1) year of laboratory research experience.

Previous experience with techniques in molecular biology and biochemistry.
Familiarity with computers, including data entry and spreadsheets.
Experience analyzing data using spreadsheets and statistical analysis.
Min to Max Hourly Salary:
$21.94 - $32.90 /hr
Min to Max Annual Salary:
$45,635.20 - $68,432.00 /yr
Salary Information:
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
