What to Expect
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the Supercharger Construction team. As Supercharger Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction and implementation of Tesla Supercharging infrastructure projects. This person must have a strong understanding of project management, with accreditation in Design or Engineering, general or electrical contractor experience as a bonus. The role demands innovation, agility and quick thinking, and excellent leadership skills to ensure the successful deployment of our ever evolving and innovative charging solutions.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a bias to action, logical problem solving, and mastery of a project's tactical details. Finally, they bring high energy and an optimistic approach to fully completing projects in a swift and quality manner.
What You'll Do
Build the most world-class Supercharger sites in the shortest amount of time on or below budget
Oversee General Contractors and sub-trades to ensure that work is carried out efficiently, adhering to timelines, guidelines, designs, and safety standards
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective and innovative solutions without compromising on quality or safety
Conduct on-site inspections to verify the installations meet Tesla standards and the A&E's specifications
Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders to provide feedback on design, site buildability and site location
Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions to problems in Construction
What You'll Bring
Ability to travel to various project locations as needed (50-60%), often on short notice
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related subject, experience, or equivalent
4-6 years of project management or field construction management experience, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
Ability to manage multiple active construction projects simultaneously
Thorough understanding of construction administration processes, including contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement
Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods
Strong understanding of AC and DC power, transformers, circuit protection, single-line electrical and mechanical diagrams, and construction drawings

Associate Technical Construction Project Manager - $83,600 - $125,400/annual salary
Technical Construction Project Manager - $95,000 - $142,500/annual salary
Sr Technical Construction Project Manager - $117,800 - $176,700/annual salary
Staff Technical Construction Project Manager - $136,800 - $205,200/annual salary
Sr Staff Technical Construction Project Manager - $163,400 - $245,100/annual salary
Principal Technical Construction Project Manager - $190,000 - $285,000/annual salary

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
