The Senior Interface Developer is responsible for designing and developing the user interface for our Epic healthcare management technology. Epic is an electronic health records system for hospitals and large practices like ours. The Epic charting system includes features such as medical templates, patient history, and referrals so that healthcare providers can deliver the best patient care. As the Senior Interface Developer, this position will use scripting languages such as SQL, PERL, or Objectscript. The position will also apply knowledge of HL7, X12, and/or other interface or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards. The position builds, designs and implements new and existing interfaces in the Bridges and Corepoint environments to support the healthcare infrastructure in support of patient and physician workflow. Responsible for obtaining an in-depth understanding of the core interface functions and evaluation of requirements for multiple types of interfaces and can assist on complex troubleshooting for interface production issues. Through customer interviews, identify the key data elements and how they relate to various workflow scenarios. Conduct connection, functional and mapped record testing in preparation for live cut-over and role is accountable for documenting current interface workflows and projected workflows, verifying the scope of interfaces and maintaining all associated project and operational interface documents. Build, design and implement new and existing interfaces in the Bridges and Corepoint environments to support the healthcare infrastructure in support of patient and physician workflow. Manages HL7 messages through Bridges, the Epic interface utility toolkit and Corepoint. Work within Epic data structure and Chronicles. Work with internal teams to make decisions and uses information and analysis, sometimes complex, to evaluate and report on specific topics. Option to telecommute from any US location.
Required qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Business Management, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Information Systems, or foreign degree equivalent.
Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare setting or relevant information technology experience with at least 4 years of experience as a System or Application Analyst, which includes: 2 years of experience with:
at least one scripting language (SQL, PERL, or Objectscript as examples);
working with software development life cycle (SDLC) from requirements through testing and deployment;
experience in HL7, X12, and/or other interface or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards.

Pay Range : $129,709 - $200,000 per year
