Position Details:
Summary of Duties:
• Teach lecture and/or laboratory courses in the School of Molecular Biosciences face-to-face and online (e.g., microbiology, genetics and cell biology, biochemistry, science communication).
• Contribute to curriculum redesign, programmatic assessment, and academic service for the School of Molecular Biosciences.
Required Qualifications:
• Earned Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, biology educationresearch, or closely related field by the time of hire
• Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate courses in the molecular life sciences
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in undergraduate STEM education
• Ability and desire to work collaboratively and work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate courses online
• Demonstrated experience mentoring undergraduate or graduate teaching assistants
• Familiarity with literature on undergraduate teaching and learning
• Demonstrated expertise in discipline-based education research
• Demonstrated experience coordinating laboratory courses

Annual Salary:
$75,000 - $100,000
In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
