JOB DESCRIPTION
- Hand-harvest export quality blueberries and/or operate machine-harvester for blueberries and/or work on the harvester for export quality berries.
- The person in this position will be hand picking, stacking flats/lugs/bins, thinning, training, and pruning blueberries
- Install trellis posts and trellis berry plants.
- Weed specifc fields of blueberry varieties.
- Use of Hand tools and Power Equipment
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other crop protectants
- Work on production line to pack product by hand or with mechanized equipment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Three months of verifiable agricultural field work experience, including three months of verifiable experience operating blueberry harvesting machine, other harvesting machine or tractor, handling both manual and mechanized tasks. Applicants must be able to furnish verifiable job reference(s) or comparable third party documentation from recent employer(s) establishing acceptable prior experience.

HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE
Contract period: March 23, 2024 through September 30, 2024
7 hours per day Monday through Friday, 5 hours on Saturday
SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS
$19.25 per hour.
The payroll period shall be bi-weekly.
- The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies and personal protective equipment required in the performance of the specified work.
- Employer provided housing/kitchen facilities are available for employees who are unable to reasonably return to their place of residence the same day.
- Transportation costs to the job site for domestic workers from outside the local commuting distance of the job site will be reimbursed by the employer after 50% of the contract period. Transportation costs from the job site to the workers home will be provided to those domestic workers that complete the entire contract period.
- The amount of the reimbursement for subsistence shall be the minimum $15.46 per day up to the maximum of $59.00 per 24-hour travel day if receipts are provided, and to a pro-rated share of that amount based on quarters of travel days.
- Employer guarantees to offer employment for the hourly equivalent of 3/4 or 75% of the workdays of the work contract beginning with the first day of work.
