Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Project Engineer Supervisor to join our growing team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.
Off-shift Engineering Supervisor is responsible for managing assigned engineering and quality support resources. Direction for these activities will come from Program Director, and Engineering Leads.
The following essential job functions are performed as a Offshift Engineer Supervisor:
- Reviews upcoming work and schedules to manage engineering and quality support resources to ensure adequate support of all cost centers.
- Manages quality inspections support in cost centers.
- Manages engineering support to ensure product is manufactured in accordance with the documented customer requirements and work instructions.
- Interacts multiple times per shift with production line management to ensure line health and support across all cost centers.
- Manages engineering support to ensure tasks and priorities set by cost center lead engineers are executed to plan.
- Communicates, consults with, and participates in design and manufacturing support.
- Manages the support of engineering activities such as visual aid creation, engineering reviews, work order preparation, and material kitting.
- Implements standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with JI standards, AS9100 and NADCAP Standards and Practices.
- Supports the execution of cost center plan, including managing schedules and budgets.
- Reviews Timecards and corrects clock-ins as needed for the assigned crew and reports any issues or problems to Program Director.
- Enforces compliance with all JI Safety, 5S and HazMat practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job. Must be flexible with work hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred but not required.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience or strong leadership experience will be considered as a substitute.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in the English language required, with at least 4 years Janicki or equivalent work history in related fields.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilites.
- Experience with SAP ERP software is adventageous .
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software is required.
- Experience with CATIA and NX or equivalent CAD software is required.
- Experience working with composites, in a lean manufacturing environment or working with complex aircraft assemblies is ideal.
- Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearance.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in English language.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Salary range for this role is between $68,000 - $145,000, $5k sign-on bonus, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
