Overview
Schedule: (Monday – Sunday and holidays) includes shift work such as evening, nights and/or days. A thirty (30) minute lunch break and two fifteen (15) minute breaks; (1) during the first 6 hours of the shift and (1) the last 6 hours of the end of the shift will be permissible. Specific days, hours, and shift length will be scheduled by the designated government representative. The specific schedule for each two-week period will be provided one month in advance. At the mutual agreement of the Contractor and the Government, alternative schedules may be implemented such as a compressed work schedule. Any changes in the schedule shall be coordinated between the HCW and the Government. Any planned absences of the HCW shall be communicated to the Government supervisor in advance of the absence in order to ensure that clinical operations are not adversely affected. The Government reserves the right to change shift hours with a five-day notice to accommodate patient care needs and mission requirements
Location: Joint Base Lewis-McChord; Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC); Department of Anesthesia and Operative Service (DOAOS)
Pay: Up to $70/hr

Sign-on Bonus: $20,000.00 - First half shall be paid out after 60 days and 2nd half shall be paid at end of the current period of performance
The sign-on bonus shall only be applicable to new contract personnel. A new employee is defined as an employee new to MAMC that did not provide services under any existing employment or contract at MAMC within the last three (3) years. Any employee that departed prior to 60-days is not eligible for the sign-on bonus. For example, HCW works 61 days—eligible for bonus. If HCW works 60 days—not eligible. Sign-on bonuses for each skills set are as follows
Retention Bonus: $10,000.00 Upon completion of the initial 12-month period, a retention bonus shall be paid to the incumbent HCW with satisfactory performance and that the HCW agrees to provide full-time service for the remainder of the contract period. This is a one-time retention bonus per one FTE per year and does apply to current incumbents. The retention bonus will be recouped in the same manner as the sign-on bonus if the HCW fails to provide the additional 12-month service.

Duties
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
- Perform physical exam and health histories.
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
- Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals.
- Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
- Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
- Perform nursing services identified in the TO
- Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications
Degree/Education: Associates Degree of Nursing; Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: All HCW(s) shall maintain current certification in a basic provider cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course through the American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) from the American Red Cross (ARC). Contract nurse employees may attend MAMC BLS and ALS recertification if space is available and at the discretion of the department COR. The Contractor will not bill the Government for contractor time to attend Basic Life Support (BLS) certification training or other CME requirements.
Experience: One year of experience in nursing after graduation.
Licensure/Registration: Current, full active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required in the TO. Contract workers requiring licensure shall have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license specific to the position (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions).
