Job Title: ECEAPLead Teacher
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Description: Responsible for planning and implementing an individualized, developmentally appropriate educational program for children and ensuring the delivery of holistic, integrated services to children and their families.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plans and implements an individualized, developmentally appropriate educational program for one
classroom of children.
- Coordinates with the Family Service Worker to maintain an adequate social services referral system for
coordinating the resolution of family needs and goals to promote family strengthening.
- Assists with parent education and support program for all assigned families.
- Demonstrate high-quality language models in all their languages and strongly support continued home
language development.
- Ensures supervision of children at all times.
- Provides quality services to children and families.
- Promotes parent involvement.
- Completes and maintains all required records, child/family files, reports, and Agency paperwork, timely
and accurately.
- Provides leadership to team members.
- Primarily responsible for ensuring all services are provided to children assigned to their classroom.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Have the language and skills for teaching language and literacy development to young children.
- Ability to actively participate in team development and team-oriented processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate sound decision making.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills.
- Good interpersonal skills essential.
- Functional computer skills.
- Sensitive to the needs of young children; willing and able to relate to children and adults from all ethnic,
racial, religious, or socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to drive, including travel to multiple sites, home visits, trainings, etc.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- An Associates or higher degree with the equivalent of 30 college quarter credits in early childhood
education. These credits may be included in the degree or in addition to the degree; or
- A valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education; (Pre-K- Grade 3)
- Professional experience teaching preschool children.
- Meet the STARS requirement and be listed in the State training and registry system (STARS).

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $18.18-$ 28.43 per/hr. - AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
$18.92-$ 28.73 per/hr.- BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Up to 10 Paid Holidays per program year depending on scheduled workdays.
