The Business Development Manager will report to the local Construction Group Sales Manager and is responsible for developing and executing the local business development strategy in collaboration with the Construction Group Sales Manager. They will lead the Business Development strategy, playing a critical role in achieving growth objectives through market research, business development programs, and regional sales communications. This role requires that the candidate is a hands-on professional that will deliver high-impact collateral, communications, and mixed media content. The duties below are a sampling of responsibilities associated with this position, but the needs of the role will shift with the needs of the department/company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Execute the business development vision, long-range strategic goals, and roadmap for the identified regional market so that it aligns with the broader corporate strategic plan.
Drive tactical planning, business development, competitive analysis, etc. in collaboration with the local Sales Manager.
Work with Marketing and the local Sales Manager to identify and prioritize participation at local industry events, representing ACCO, prospecting new opportunities and communicating good will with clients and owners.
Report findings and potential early opportunities to Sales Manager
Utilize available market research and analyze potential available markets for construction expansion and margin improvement opportunities.
Support new business initiatives, pilot programs and marketing rollouts.
Recommend and implement adjustments and modifications to the business development plan.
Collaborate with the local Sales Manager and Project Managers to execute business and product plans that are profitable while evaluating these plans on a periodic basis.
Maintain ACCO's corporate brand by collaborating with our Marketing team and provide local social media updates and/or press releases that pertain to the identified market.
Draft schedules for implementation of local market plans and monitor project progress through periodic progress reports for leadership and key stakeholders.
Establish and analyze metrics for potential growth markets, including but not limited to growth forecasts, union presence, scarcity of competition, complementary company relationships, etc.
Implement the local use of ACCO's Digital Asset Management platform in collaboration with the Sales Manager, Sales Support, and Corporate Brand Management with regard to sales collateral and communication materials, in line with the corporate brand guidelines and standards.
Assist the team with the sales pursuit process, including development of high impact proposal responses, interview presentation and team preparation, and tracking pursuit success rates.
Success is achieved by establishing a pipeline of projects through newly targeted clients resulting in increased revenue and profit for the Seattle sales team.
Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):
Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification.
5+ years' experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining product and business development strategies. Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Technical marketing and business development skills.
Proficient in Adobe InDesign
Proven experience in customer and market research.
Relevant product and industry knowledge.
Experience with relevant software applications.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with a variety of personalities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple issues efficiently and within time constraints.
Detail oriented. Client focused, energetic and driven by results.
Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
Demonstrated understanding of the importance of handling sensitive and confidential information and documents.
General knowledge of the construction process is preferred, but not required.
Ability to travel periodically and work overtime as required.

Competitive Wages:
$100,000 to $150,000 Annual Salary.
