Overview
This position is for the EB West Maintenance & Modernization Site in Bremerton, WA.
Position located in Bremerton, WA. Maintenance and Modernization has an opening for a HR Training Rep.
The successful candidate will report to the Site Manager on all issues pertaining to training and recruiting. This includes the training and certification of instructors. Track all departmental training as well as medical requirements for qualifications. Perform PQS administration and RADCON coordination for the department. Working with the Maintenance & Modernization Training Coordinator, Yard Hospital, and GP Strategies to ensure the proper training is assigned to employees and completion documentation is processed efficiently. Candidate will be the responsible coordinator of appropriate training curriculum validation. Perform New Employee Indoctrination Training, Project Training In-Briefs, and participate in Project Certifications. Conduct hearing test and coordination of all Medical Surveillance Programs. Develop with the leadership methodology for knowledge transfer and empowering mentors to transfer their skills and knowledge to lesser experienced employees. Candidate will be required to perform other duties as assigned.
This position requires a highly motivated self-starter and change agent with exceptional interpersonal skills. This includes ensuring:
Department training has alighnment across all of Maintenance and Modernization;
Support curriculum development
Schedule event training
Interacts with Operations Management to ensure trade specific needs are met;
Establish Active Learning Centers (ALCs);
Collaborates with other departments to share curricilim, mock-ups, and best practices;
Interact with local schools for teaming
Accurately present metrics
Candidate must be willing to travel to and from off-site locations as needed to support training needs.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED
2+ years training administration and instruction
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred:
2+ years of experience at Electric Boat
Bachelors degree in Education or Navy MTS (Master Training Specialist)
Skills
Experience and familiarity with Active Learning Centers (ALCs)
Strong knowledge of Cornerstone
Knowledge of EB SPs and SSPs
Physical Qualifications
