Since 1994 Insitu has led in the design, development and production of small autonomous aircraft for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). We are looking for self-motivated, mission driven, collaborative engineering talent to support our goals using flexible and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
A Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer performs the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical products and systems.
May perform product development activities, including drawing board layout and interpretation, implementation of customer specifications, and documentation requirements.
May utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks, and conducts engineering studies.
May perform risk assessments and generate risk mitigation plans and strategies.
May specialize in specific field of mechanical engineering, such as composites, electro-mechanical, controls and instrumentation, robotics, tooling, etc.; or in a type of product, such as propulsion systems or mechanical equipment.
May collect data from multiple data bases and integrate, analyze and visualize to guide engineering and business decisions.
GPAs > 3.4 are highly preferred.
Candidates are required to be enrolled in an accredited college or university degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace degree.
Some hands on and practical application of engineering skills highly desired.
Candidates with 2 or more years of study completed by 6/2023 preferred.
