The Full Time Paratransit Bus Driver is a caring, compassionate individual, who is responsible for transporting clients with developmental and intellectual disabilities to specific locations within the Tri-Cities, in support of programming, employment and recreational opportunities offered by The Arc of Tri-Cities and Adult Day Services,
This is a permanent full-time position, including major medical benefits, holidays, sick leave and vacation. Operating hours are typically 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.
Mandatory Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Possess or be able to obtain an unrestricted Washington State driver’s license
- Five (5) years driving experience
- Meet Ben Franklin Transit driver eligibility criteria
- Ability to complete Ben Franklin Transit training curriculum
- Satisfactorily pass a DSHS background check
- Possess or ability to obtain valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Provide an acceptable Complete Drivers Abstract from the WA Dept. of Licensing
- Ability to pass and maintain DOT-required drug & alcohol testing and physical requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, stretch and turn as appropriate to properly secure passenger wheelchairs
- CDL Not required

Wage
Starting hourly wage is $16.50, subject to wage reviews after completion of a 90-day probationary period and upon annual performance/salary reviews thereafter.
