About the position:
To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and/or agency policies and procedures.

Required Education and Experience:
Initial & Infant and Toddler certificate or enrolled in the ECE program to be completed within 24 months of hire.
OR
DCYF Equivalent education or higher degree
POST HIRE Requirements:
Child Care Basics Course or MERIT approved exemption within 3 months of hire
Conscious Discipline internal training
CLASS internal training
The position is 40 hours per week for 49 weeks per year with a starting salary of $19.12 per hour. If you do not have the required education/experience we hire at a provisional rate of $17.00 while you obtain the required education!
