Job Posting for EVE Conventional Mill Supervisor (1st shift)
Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently seeking a Conventional Mill Supervisor to join our team on 1st shift, which is scheduled Monday through Friday at 6am to 2:30pm. This role reports to the Operations Manager at our plant in Everett, Washington and is considered a critical member of the CPP-Everett team, working closely with the team to manufacture aerospace components as per drawing. This is a great opportunity for an experienced lathe operator to join a growth-oriented company that has been in business for over 100 years! Job Summary:
Conventional operator lays-out and operates manual Lathes and EZ-Track Bridgeport machine to turn and mill production parts per customer engineering requirements. Toolmaker plans, lays-out and performs machining operations and bench work to construct, modify and repair fixtures, tools, dies, and gauges used in manufacturing so that the resulting product meets customer quality requirements within the established production deadlines. Other goals included.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine and grinders. Has
knowledge of CNC equipment to machine parts and fixturing.
2. Manufacture tooling that meets engineering specifications.
3. Reads, understands and interprets engineering drawings.
4. Conceive, develop and build tools, jigs, molds and gauges in support of and at the
direction of Engineering and Manufacturing requirements.
5. Program and operate EZ-Track Mill
6. Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safety and assure
proper maintenance of a safe and clean working area.
7. Meets job standard times with minimal supervision.
8. Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety
equipment and relevant safety procedures.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Attributes:
1. Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift.
2. Properly uses measuring tools and set up tools such as edge finder, indicator,
micrometers, etc.
3. Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
4. Communicates well verbally and in writing.
5. Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity.
Eligibility requirements. Must be a US person under ITAR rules to be eligible.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Required:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Possess attentiveness to detail, good hand eye coordination and mathematics skills.
3. Minimum 1 year experience working with manual machines.
4. Knowledge of conversational programming.
5. Able to handwrite CNC programs using G & M codes.
6. Designs tooling using sample parts or prints.
7. Good understanding of the manufacturing process.
Preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of Boeing BAC specs.
Experience in aerospace industry.
