Tasting room employees are the public relations ambassadors of the company. As such, tasting room personnel provide a warm welcome to all guests and provide a beyond-expectations experience. As a liaison between Ste. Michelle and the public, tasting room employees must demonstrate hospitality, a sense of integrity, efficiency, and a growing knowledge about our wines. Successful members of the tasting room team will consistently display a positive, unflappable, can-do attitude at all times while providing excellent and accommodating customer service to each and every guest that visits our winery.
What you will do:
Service Standards: Be friendly, courteous and capable of interacting with a wide variety of personalities in a professional and polite manner, with an eagerness to meet the needs of every guest. Be accommodating, upbeat and inspired to make every guest's experience special. Must be a self-starter that works efficiently with limited direction to identify needs of the business and implement solutions effectively.
Supervise and support all aspects of wine shop operations, including sales, customer service standards and personnel management.
Supervise the coordination of daily on-site hospitality activities that drive sales results.
Create positive guest experiences through ongoing staff support, training, and development.
Act as consistent communication liaison between management and Guest Services staff. Provide clear direction to entire Guest Services staff regarding company strategies and management direction.
Lead and implement the MOD model.
Actively involved in and training and development new hires.
Assist in creation of weekly schedule for wine shop that supports business needs and controls labor costs.
POS Operations
Assist with monitoring inventory levels of wine shop products Help to create sustainable business building programs.
Ensure proper execution of all wine shop procedures, cash management and financial accountability.
Provide a welcoming and enthusiastic atmosphere for all guests visiting the winery.
Oversee tour route execution and accuracy.
Set clear direction during periods of high volume (ex: concerts).
Collaborate with Guest Services Manager and Wine Club Assistant Manager to elevate wine club experience and overall performance.
Recognize that flexibility in this role is critical to its success.

Scheduling Requirements:
Must be able to work various days/shifts of the week, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Qualifications:
At least two years of supervisory experience with the ability to train and develop employees in a retail environment
Minimum two years of customer service and sales experience required
Must be 21 years of age
Strong verbal and written communication skills that should include public speaking and presentation skills
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to train others and monitor their performance; provide feedback
Strong experience with Register/POS systems
Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
