Support Service Aide

Purpose:
Assists and supports other personnel within the classroom/kitchen to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
Duties will include: To assist cook in providing safe and sanitary food preparation. To assist the bus driver in providing safe and punctual transportation to and from classroom sites. Observes and monitors behavior of children, interacts with parents and staff to promote the wellbeing of children. To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities.
Work sites will be variable based on the needs of the program.
Required Education and Experience:
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
Post Hire Education Requirements:
Child Care Basics Course or MERIT approved exemption within 3 months of hire
Conscious Discipline internal training
CLASS internal training
Position is full time 35 hours per week for 52 weeks per year with a starting Salary is $14.50 to $15.23per hour depending on experience/education.
