CERTIFIED SPECIAL INSPECTORSIMMEDIATE FULL-TIME POSITIONSAs a certified Special Inspector, you'll observe, inspect, and/or test construction processes on active project sites, prepare various materials' test samples during placement, and professionally document the results. Successful applicants will enjoy variety in their day and have flexible schedules with the ability to work varying shifts and perform some heavy work (lifting to 75#) in all kinds of weather conditions.
MTC's NW Region dispatches from the Canadian border south to Renton, our SW Region from south of Renton along the I5 corridor to Oregon and Silverdale for all areas on the Peninsula. In addition, Tukwila dispatches for the greater Seattle/King County area. We've recently added a new satellite location in Tacoma and are looking to expand in Snohomish and King County.

MTC's certified Special Inspectors are compensated based on the number of special inspection certifications they hold, as defined by the International Code Council (ICC) and Washington Association of Building Official (WABO or equivalent). Successful applicants will have a minimum of at least (2) two ICC and/or WABO Special Inspector Certifications in the following disciplines:
