SPECIAL/CONSTRUCTION INSPECTORS - Northwest RegionIMMEDIATE FULL-TIME POSITIONSMTC is currently seeking multi-licensed special/construction inspectors for their northwest region service areas. As a certified Special Inspector, responsibilities include observation, inspection, and/or testing of various materials on active construction sites and professionally documenting the results. Depending on certifications, you may attend construction meetings and liaise with the client and project team. Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and enjoy variety in their day. They will have flexible schedules with the ability to work varying hours and perform some heavy work (lifting to 75#) in all kinds of weather conditions.
MTC's NW Region dispatches from the Canadian border south to Renton; SW Region from south of Renton along the I5 corridor to Oregon; Silverdale for all areas on the Kitsap Peninsula; Tukwila dispatches for the greater Seattle/King County area; and Tacoma for King, Pierce and Thurston Counties.At MTC, we offer the most industry-competitive wages, including paid vacation time, Washington State Paid Sick-Leave, and holiday pay. MTC's inspectors are compensated based on the number of certifications they hold, as defined by the International Code Council (ICC) and Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO or equivalent), as well as other applicable areas of expertise, i.e. CWI, GPR, Floor Flatness, etc. Successful applicants will have a minimum of at least (2) two ICC and/or WABO Special Inspector Certifications in the following disciplines:
