CNC Machinist - Everett, WA area - Jan 2024
Our client in the Everett, WA area has an opening for a CNC Machinist. The client runs a full-service precision machine shop that specializes in complex operations and serves the Aerospace sector.

We have been in business 20 years in the US and 8 years in Europe.
Position purpose/core responsibilities:
Machinist:
Our client is in need of a skilled machinist with 3 to 5 years CNC machine experience preferably in Aerospace who knows how to effectively use CAD software to augment the machining process. Preference will be given to those who have experience operating the following machines or equivalent:
Turning
- Cincinnati Milacron 12 x 39.7
Milling
- Okuma MC-V3016 30 x 16.13 x 17.75
- Okuma ES-V4020 40 x 20 x 20.63
- Mori Seki MV40-B 31.53 x 16.19 x 20.12
- Hyundai WIA F650
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Modify existing programs for different machines.
- Maintain tooling database.
- Make manual program adjustments, as necessary.
- Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus.
- Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Use Siemans NX models to create CNC Programming.
- Basic math skills.
Macinist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up and running the following: NC Mills and NC Lathes
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings and blueprints including true positioning and conventional tolerancing.
- Reading and following production planning.
- Running jobs close to tolerances of +/- .001".
- Maintaining a rejection rate of less than 2%.
- Using precision measuring instruments to check work.
Machining Requirements and Qualifications
- close tolerance CNC machining experience.
- Knowledge of machining materials such as aluminum, tool, alloy, carbon steels, stainless steel, titanium, plastics and Inconel is preferred
