The Interim Accounting Manager will support migration of financial systems to a new parent company (Cytel, Inc.). The position will also assist other Finance staff with day-to-day accounting tasks during the migration project period (5-6 months). And the position will also provide support for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 7+ years of experience as an accounting manager or senior accountant (or similar) positions(s) is required.
Knowledge and experience complying with GAAP and other accounting standards is required.
Knowledge and experience with ERP systems (i.e. DelTek Vision and/or IntAcct) is required.
Knowledge and experience with time and expense reporting systems (i.e. Nexonia, Certify, Concur) is preferred.
Knowledge and experience with business planning systems (i.e. Adaptive Insights, Host Analytics, Hyperion) is preferred.
Knowledge and experience with managing migration of ERP systems (i.e. DelTek Vision to IntAcct) is required.
Knowledge and experience in a professional services and/or clinical trials or research settings is preferred
Knowledge and experience in project accounting and revenue recognition standards (ASC605 and ASC606) is preferred.
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). High proficiency in MS Excel skills is required.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are required, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must pass credit check and background verification.
Provides support for the ERP migration project (DelTek Vision to IntAcct) starting in Q1 2020.
Provides support for time & expense reporting migration (Certify to Nexonia) starting in Q1 2020.
This position works closely with the ERP migration team, Director of Finance, Controller, Project Cost Accountant, and Accounting Assistant.
Provides budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting and analysis support to Axio Finance, business unit management, and project directors.
Provides assistance with day-to-day accounting (i.e. AR, AP, cash management, monthly close) supporting other Finance staff.
Maintains consistently high-performance standards and quality of work.
Adheres to Axio SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements.
May provide input for the development of departmental standards, process documentation, how-to-guides, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
May participate in internal and third-party audits or regulatory inspections, as required.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance.
